Alpha Wolf

I read an article a while ago that was titled something like ” If you want to be Happy Give Up…”

That seems like a very screwed up headline doesn’t it. But when I thought about it, some things came to mind and I realized while I didn’t agree with all of the article,  the title made me think…

If you really want to be Happy in the traditional sense I think the first thing to give up is the search for Happiness. When people say all I want to do is be Happy then that tells me they don’t know how. Happiness is not a destination you reach one morning after years of looking. Happiness is accepting life for what it is and simply making up your mind to be grateful for the day you have been given and accepting of what enters your life.

Having said that I have been far from being able to live those words with passion at times. It takes practice to build that ability which also would indicate that happiness is indeed a habit. This is promising to me… Why you ask, because if it is indeed a habit then so is being sad, and if being sad is a habit then it is one you can break.

In our daily lives we cling to things that most often times are the wrong things for the wrong reasons.

This is what has inspired me today… Deciding that once and for all I will start living my life 100% with the Mind and Passion of the ALPHA WOLF…

What does that mean exactly…

It means that I will live my life with Passion and I will make decisions that I feel are best for my pack ( which for me is myself and my two little boys ) and I will live out those decisions with a zest for life and I will not second guess myself at every corner because that helps no one. If you truly love ” your pack ” and you would never in your lifetime purposefully hurt them, then be content you made the best decisions at the time because you know you would only make the best decisions you could. I trust in my self.. My knowledge, My love for my children, and My love for the journey I am on to inner peace and contentment. All these things make me a better person. They make my life enjoyable and purposeful and I accept it and am grateful for it.. What ever happens I know I will live with the passion, drive, focus, and aspiration of, and no more than that of the Alpha Wolf…

Until next time,

Peace and Happiness are my wishes for you….

Are your Habits holding in your Light…?

habit

So, it dawned on me that our Habits truly shape who we are don’t they. As we all know , not all Habits are healthy. So why do we keep doing them. Why would you do something that you knew in your brain was Bad for you..?

To me the most striking thing about change is what doesn’t…

So I will SHARE with you a Poster I typed up and have posted on my wall by my desk so I can read it everyday..

The TEN Habits I will call upon everyday in my career..!

1. Choice – I have the choice to do what it takes to be Successful, or not to do what needs to be done. My life as well as my career are the results of the choices I make. Therefore I Will make Positive choices and Believe they are the right choice for me, because if I choose them I accept it is what the Universe wants for me and there could be no other choice for me to make at the time I choose… This way Regret and Hindsight are eliminated for good..!

2. Focus – Concentration is a key in my success. I will Focus on exceptional client service which is empathy driven ( doing for others not myself ) and in return I will deserve client referrals which will help me build new relationships. I will focus my practice on being Valuable to my clients and in return I Deserve the growth that results from helping others…

3. Listen – Important ideas and or messages are not always spoken words. I Listen carefully to words people say but also pay attention to the emotions that drive them to speak… I listen with my Ears, my Eyes and my Heart. By doing this I will always hear what needs to be heard…

4. Understand – The most important need in building business relationships as well as personal ones in life is to be understood. I always seek to understand my clients, as well as making sure they understand me. Asking the right questions is half way to having the right answers…

5. Trust – Trust is the foundation of all successful relationships in life Business or Personal. Trust is not simply given but is earned by repeated actions and I am proactive in building a foundation that fosters truth and trust..!

6. Difference – If I can’t make a valuable and measurable difference in the lives of my clients then there is no need for my service. I must know the difference I make and communicate it clearly. If it doesn’t make a difference in a positive way with the people I touch then it is not worth doing…

7. Perception – Clients are not always right. But in their minds they believe what they hear them selves say. So I use extreme care and caution when it comes to peoples perceptions and I work hard to give people only positive perceptions to hold onto…

8. Communication – All forms of communication are important, even ones that subtle. I am attentive to the way in which I communicate with others so I am not misunderstood…

9. Advance Commitment – Being a sales leader is NOT about Selling but it IS about opening relationships. With every encounter I will find ways to advance my commitment to my client as a valuable solution to Their needs…

10. Persistence – My success is not determined by the times I fail but by the times I succeed. The times I succeed are in direct proportion to the times I fail and Don’t give up. I will not Quit.. I WILL NOT QUIT….

There is NOTHING more Sad than the realization of the Success that was right around the corner from the point you Quit…

I hope that you find this helpful and that by simply tweaking it a little here and there will be a good source of positive re-enforcement that you can read daily to help keep you focused…

Persevere…!

Someone I care about deeply has in the last year or so, become addicted to Yoga and its benefits. It plays to reason obviously that I would have to check it out for my self and in my research have come to the conclusion that Yoga indeed is beneficial to the soul as well as the body…
From my research I would say reasons to try Yoga for yourself are but not limited to by any means;
1.Reducing Stress – Yoga by its very nature encourages relaxation. When your relaxed you produce less Cortisol in the body, ( the stress hormone). It also Benefits and has been shown to reduce Anxiety, Depression and Fatigue. There are many benefits to reducing Stress in fact too many to list here…
2. Better Breathing- the first thing I learned was that I needed to breathe better. By taking slower and deeper breathes I am in fact improving my overall lung health as well as triggering the relaxation process…
3. Cardiovascular conditioning – Yoga Practice provides cardiovascular benefits and lowers resting heart rate. It increases your endurance and improves Oxygen intake.
4. Inner Peace and a Sharper Mind – Yoga has a Meditative property that will help you calm and center yourself, and keeps you focused on the present ( the Now ). By improving concentration and coordination we improve our overall mindfulness…
5. Weight Management – Yoga it would seem aids in weight control by again ” reducing Cortisol” in the blood stream, burning calories and creating Muscle mass. Also people who are engaged in yoga practice tend to Eat healthier and have more Body-Awareness and find comfort and support in their group.

Pain relief, increased strength and flexibility are some of the many I wont get into but rest assured they are affected.

In general I am quite pleased with the prospects of increasing my total physical and mental health through a Yoga program and will of course keep everyone updated on its progress and let you know first hand the effects I encounter with my mind and body…

As Always feel free to post if your are an expert and have advice for me in this area and I wish you positive energy and good Karma all the days of your life…

Letting Go of Limiting Beliefs…

The most difficult part of letting go of anything is the decision to act. Once you make a clear and concise decision that you commit to, then acting is the spark that starts the fire. You can’t change anything ( Good or Bad ) if you do nothing. Once you take the first step though and act, the rest is merely tenacity.

Letting go of limiting beliefs is probably one of the hardest thing to let go of as well because we have trained ourselves through our outside stimuli. On top of it people are often afraid of change. Change might bring something more painful than what we have. So those people afraid of change will be content to just go on through their daily lives always thinking it could be worse. This is a dangerously limiting belief, because if you think about it logically for one moment, everything you have in life you have because something changed. Your happily married..? Well your married because your relationship status changed. You have a nice house..? Well your living arrangements changed when you moved. You see where I am going with this. Change is inevitable. Let’s not be afraid of change in fact lets not even call it change lets call it Improvement..!

Once you realize that your thoughts in your head actually manifest into your physically reality if you focus enough energy on them. That means if you think negative thoughts you are inviting negative energy. Here’s a fact you might find interesting. The average person has 50-60 thousand thoughts a day in their head. 87% of them from the average person are negative. That is alot of negative energy manifesting itself in our daily lives.

What if you looked at things differently. What if you instead of saying ” I can’t afford this” you asked your self ” How can I afford this” and here is the key. When you ask yourself a question, your subconscious mind will keep working on trying to find the answer. So the key to attaining the right answers we want in life is to ask the right questions of ourselves.

I believe that there is a greater purpose to the adversity in my life and I try start with the smallest steps first. By taking small steps and achieving small goals it makes an insurmountable problem seem a little more conquerable when you use small steps as building blocks to grow on. We can’t control what happens to us always, that is a fact of life but we can control how we respond.

Remember, life will give us a million reasons why we can’t get something done. Tenacity is having the courage to fire our excuse department. I as you know have dealt with depression since the loss of my mother as a child, the divorce and separation from my own children ( even if it is only every other week ) and the loss of the belief in myself…

I have it back, but it was a long road to get here. What ever it takes, if you feel like giving up DON’T..!!!

As always my friends I wish you the positive energy the universe holds for all of us if we are only grateful for and accept it. Good Karma to all and I will write again soon…

If anyone wants to know more about me or how I inspire others to break out of depression and reclaim their lives… Just ask!!!

“Carpe Diem”

I have often wondered why the phrase “Carpe Diem” is a mantra for some, yet feels like a cliche, a sound byte peddled by every self proclaimed { Motivational Guru } on the planet to others..?

First lets be honest, it is easy to feel motivated to get out there and get things done when things are going well. When you have a fan club telling whispering affirmations of greatness in your ear every time you turn around. But what happens when the sun goes down and the fan club goes home. How do you maintain a Positive Mental Attitude..?

How can some people wake up and face adversity and stand strong when others fall apart and drift into depression filled days where life is no longer about seizing the day but surviving it… Your car breaks down, your out of work, your hungry and your about to be evicted. Your best friend dies after fighting an unrelenting disease. Your kids are unaware of anything other than they don’t get extra things in life like other kids do…

Yet, at times like this there are those who step up, shake themselves off and simply in a matter of time are right back on top.  Is it genetics, is it something they have others don’t, a secret if you will for getting positive results in a world that seems to throw every roadblock in the way of those in trying times and seems to open up with a yellow brick road to those doing well… My question is who creates the yellow brick road.. Is it the person walking on it or is it the universe..?

Does the universe really respond to what your thoughts are..?

Does the universe really manifest the thoughts you focus on..?

I believe it does..!

As I write this blog I will share more and more about my self and my past and ultimately you will know me intimately as transparency is something I value… But for today lets just say I have faced adversity, I have been at the bottom of depression.. I have stayed at the Beverly Wilshire Hotel on the corner of Wilshire Blvd and Rodeo Dr. when traveling to LA and I have slept in cars in my youth when I had no one in my life to help… I have made 6 figures and I have been dead broke….

What I know is that it really is in us to construct our lives and build the landscape around us.. I also know that its not always as easy as just doing it… We need help at times from the universe and those around us… The hardest thing about needing help is asking for it…

So I am here to say I understand where everyone is coming from, the wealthy who exemplify time management and keep themselves motivated by using what ever it is that drives them.. and I understand the hopelessness of feeling lost and alone and wondering if life is worth living…

My answer is YES it is… And if you ask the universe for help… Ask others for advice… reach out to people who have been there ( feel free to write me and I will share what I can ) than at some point the universe will respond…

I hope everyone has a wonderful week.. I am embarking on some new career challenges but if it works out like I believe it will then I will share it and my process so others can do the same… as always I pray the universe finds you in good health and spirits and you “seize the day” at all times…

And So it Begins…

Lao-Tzu the great Chinese philosopher  said ” A journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step.”

As I write this post I find myself at a crossroads and as my mind toils over the possibilities and outcomes of the choices I will make in the coming days, I can’t help but reminisce on what has gotten me here. So the questions come back to the surface.. Who am I, What do I really want, and why do I not already have it…?

What I do know is that if my plans will succeed  and I am going to move in the direction I want to go in life then I will have to let go of the past and stop thinking so far into the future and focus on the now. Only by focusing on who I am now and what do I want to do right now, will I be able to make changes that take affect right now… I do not want to wait five years from now and hope that I somehow have figured it out. I wont wait for life to come to me and I am chasing it…

One thing I have learned to be so true in the last few months is that “It is harder to stay true to yourself in the face of overwhelming pressure, but if you don’t eventually the pressure will come from the inside, not the outside…”

So… whats this all about, who the hell am I… I am sure that must be what your asking yourself about now… OK here is the fast version. My name is Wayne, I am a Father of two Beautiful boys.. I am a Financial Professional or at least I was… I am an Artist or so I think, and I have lived a life that has been filled with personal discoveries and traumas. I have been at the top of my game and what some would consider wealthy and at the bottom Flat Broke… I have been Happy and Sad.. I have struggled with Anxiety and Depression and have allowed it to consume me and yet I continue to take back my life never allowing it to destroy me. I have traveled the world, yet other days have been afraid to leave the house… It has been a Dream and a Nightmare…

SO…. WHY, why write a blog and why now… SIMPLE..! Because I am again making massive change in my life, I am fighting adversity, and I have true faith in myself to again SHORTLY be right back on top..!!! My goal is by sharing my path I may illuminate and inspire a path for others. If even one person in the world were to find consolation and inspiration from my words then it has been worth it….

As you know, all personal breakthroughs begin with change, change in our actions but more importantly change in our beliefs. So what has changed for me recently..OMG where to start.. Failed Marriage, Loss of a child I loved, Job transition due to lack of belief in its very nature..depression, therapy… and an awakening.. realizing I have done nothing but change for the last 2 years… Yet I am NO where near where I wanted that change to take me…

So… revamping, and realigning my goals… Now I have a new path… And as I start it I am filled with confidence for the first time.. I believe I am finally pointed in the right direction… And remember what Brain Tracy Said..” If what your doing is not moving you toward your goals then it is moving you away from them…” SO TRUE….

Once you believe in your path wholeheartedly I believe the universe opens her arms and makes all things possible if you only take advantage of it..

So… If you feel so inclined, check in every now and then and get my weekly post Sunday Night on my progress.. I will be more specific in the coming weeks as to what I am doing and why etc… But I will also be posting quotes and minor Epiphanies that I have throughout the week… I will also at times post memories of the life already lived, Not to dwell on it or relive it but to simply remind myself of a lesson learned in the hopes of sparing some of learning the hard way…

I am GRATEFUL that you have shared time with me hear today, Time is Luck after all and life is short, which is why we all need to live NOW…!

Wishing great Karma and Universal love to everyone…

Wayne
